Classic bush orienteering on very popular map. Organiser: Mark Roberts. Cost $5 member, $7 non member, $12 member family, $15 non member family.
We are starting on the south side of Mt Cotton Rd east of Alperton Rd. Safety is paramount, so please drive past the car parking, turn south into Marawah St, then immediately turn onto the service road back along Mt Cotton Rd which gives easy access to parking on the nature strip.
The Start/Finish is 300m from the parking. There is water on the courses. We are using small flags hung high for good visibility.
Only difficult courses will be offered: Short 2.4km, Medium 4.2km, Long 6.2km, Extra Long 7.7km The emphasis of the courses is control picking - lots of short legs with no handrails or collecting features and tight control sites. Climb is reasonable on all but the Extra Long.
Controls will be out from Wednesday afternoon until Saturday afternoon. Contact mark@markroberts.id.au specifying which course you need if you want a map.
