Bush Orienteering at Shelter Road, Gold Coast

Sunday 11th June 9-11am

Come to Shelter Road off Brisbane Road (GC Highway) for bush orienteering on our new map of a lovely area, not too scratchy, not too hilly, great technical orienteering.

No need to pre-enter or register, but please let us know right away if you plan to bring a substantial group so we can print more maps.

The Easy course (1.7km) and Moderate (2km) stay on or close to bush tracks and don't cross the road. The Extra Short (1.2km) and Short (2.4km) are more challenging but also don't cross the road. Medium is 3.7km and Long is 5.4km.

Bring sound footwear, clothing suitable for the bush, sun protection and water. Cost for non-members: $7 adult, $6 junior, $20 family. For members: $5 adult, $4 junior, $14 family. Pay on the day with credit card or your phone only.

This map is ideal to practice compass use, ask for guidance and remember you compass only does one thing - point to magnetic north - and its only purpose is to help you get your map the right way round.
