2025 Queensland Long Distance Championships
When: Labor Day Weekend, 3rd/4th May 2025 (followed by Classic Middle Distance Monday 5 May)
Where: Gurulmindi State Forest, Western Downs, north of Miles. 4 hours west of Brisbane. Entrants are encouraged to make the most out of their trip and also compete in the OY which will be held nearby the next day (Monday 5 May)
Event Format: 2 day Long Distance Event. Winners are determined by cumulative time over two days.
Terrain: Spur/Gully forest, with areas of rock detail and intricate erosion.
Entries: Via Eventor - Opens April 2025.
Accommodation: Orienteers intending to participate in the Qld Long Distance Championships are advised to make their accommodation bookings early.

Saturday Night Dinner: TBA
Catering: Some catering will be provided at the assembly area (menu to be advised).
Split Start Times: Entrants will be allocated start times for both days prior to the event. Split times (early or later in the starting block on either day) for child minding or shadowing purposes will be available. Entrants with a long way to travel, looking for an early start on day 2 can also be catered for.
