Mingela "Maidavale" Rogaine

PLEASE NOTE THE DATE CHANGE DUE TO A CLASH WITH ANOTHER EVENT IN CHARTERS TOWERS ON THE 24TH.

There will be a 2hr and 4hr rogaine event and an easy beginner green course able to be completed within an hour. This will be the most comprehensive use of our Mingela map in several years so a great one to put in your calendar.

Equipment - The grass and speargrass is long so ankle protection is suggested (eg. long pants, long socks or gaiters). Bring some water to carry with you and if you have your own compass, please bring it along.

Start Times
* 4hr race is 1pm. Map hand out at 12.40pm.
* 2r race can start at 1pm or 2pm or 3pm. Map hand out 20 min before your race start.
* Green beginner course starts between 1.15pm and 3pm.

Course closes at 5pm. Cold Drinks available at finish.

Directions - Start-Finish will be at the top of the Mingela Range near the Telstra tower. As you head up the range, keep an eye out for the TTOC Flags about 300m before a sharp left turn off the road (it comes up quickly so slow right down once you see the flags !!) - allow a comfortable 50mins from Townsville. It is 70.5km from the Townsville Distribution Precinct Traffic lights as you leave Townsville to Charters Towers. It is also 500m before the Burdekin Falls Dam Road. Post to the page / group if you are keen for a share-ride, there will be a few seats available !!

Cost - $8 per person ($15 for a family in the same team)
