Directions from Brisbane/Ipswich
Take either Centenary Highway (M5/A5) or Cunningham Highway west to Purga (edge of Yamanto). Proceed south (left) on Ipswich-Boonah Road (State Route 93) for 5.8 km. Turn left into Carmichaels Road. Follow Carmichaels Road 4.3 km to Hardings Paddock. 40 mins from Indooroopilly, 80 mins from Toowoomba.
The relays are two person relays. Teams can be formed on the day (register by 9.15). There will be a mass start at 9.30. Anyone wishing to run a course but not be part of the relay will be mass started at 9.45. There will be a mass start for 2nd leg runners whose partners have not yet come in at 10.45. Courses close at 12.
Three courses are available: Long (4.3 km), Short/Moderate (3.3 km) and Easy/Very Easy (1.1 km). People can self-select for courses but the short/easy course is aimed at beginners and (much) younger orienteers. There is extra climb and some lantana on legs on the long course. Both members of the team will run the same course.
