Event Fees to be paid on the day. Adult- $10, Junior-$5, Family- $25 Payment for the luncheon can be made on-line from the entry form.
This is the annual club relay competition for the coveted ‘Golden O Shoe’ trophy. Teams of three orienteers will be required to complete 5 courses. All teams must contain at least one female and also a veteran 55+ or junior. These two criteria may be filled by one person e.g. a junior female. . Courses offered will be 1 easy/very easy, and 1 moderate medium distance and 3 moderate longer distance. After entering on-line, your club relay co-ordinator will organise teams. If you have any preferences for your team make-up please contact your club relay co-ordinator. Metro clubs - EN rapkinsr@iinet.net.au, UG sheldonanna@hotmail.com, TF schulz.dj@gmail.com. Smaller and remote clubs (BUSH, SO, FNQ and TT) are invited to submit full teams or composite teams if needed.
All competitors should enter on line to permit download of SI details and compilation of teams. (If hiring an SI number will be allocated). When entering on-line, you must choose a course... any course will do as you and your relay team members can finalise this on the day.
Assembly from 8:30 – club co-ordinators to collect money, inform of any late changes. Maps distributed for planning 9:00, Mass Start 9:30.
Clubs will need to nominate a team co-ordinator, to recruit and nominate club teams. Club co-ordinators to email team details to Lynda Rapkins by Friday evening 19 October.
The OQ Awards luncheon will be held immediately after the relay. Shade is available but please bring a chair. While you will pay for the relay on the day, payment for the three course luncheon can be made in advance via the on-line entry form ('Championship Dinner')as well as on-the-day just before the luncheon. Regardless of payment method, luncheon attendees need to inform the organiser of their numbers via the on-line entry form (preferably) or by phone so that catering can be organised. Cost for the luncheon is $10 adults, $5 for children under 14. Luncheon attendance is optional. You may attend the luncheon without competing in the relay.
