Queensland's Coach in Residence, Hugo Taunton-Burnet, spent 2024-2025 at the Orienteering Gymnasium Olofstrom, a specialised orienteering school in Sweden. There he received professional coaching, with multiple weekly sessions on technique and theory, and participated in training camps.
In this Zoom session, Hugo will share his experiences and insights. How are young Swedish orienteers coached? How do they train? What coaching exercises have been particularly useful? What could be adapted from the Swedish situation to suit Queensland conditions?
This session is aimed at both coaches and all orienteers looking for tips and ideas. There will be plenty of opportunity for questions.
