Mundoolun Public Event starts after Qld Schools Orienteering Championships
The State event at Mundoolun offers a full range of courses: Hard 2 7.7km; Hard 3 5.5km; Hard 4 3.5km; Hard 5 2.4km and Moderate 2.6km. Starts will follow the Queensland School Orienteering Championship between 10.45am and 11.45am.
Pre-marked maps will be available if you register on line by 11.59pm on Wednesday or phone Rob (3345 4527) by 10am Thursday 26 July.
The Mundoolun property is not currently grazed so be prepared for long grass in places (including spear grass) and lantana which continues to spread in the wet conditions. Some of the erosion has also extended. However it is not nearly as steep as many near Brisbane maps so all in all it provides an enjoyable challenge.
SI timing will be used.
If you don't have a chance to pre-enter for a pre-marked map there will be ample provision for you to enter and mark your own course from the master maps.
This "Legacy" event does not appear on Eventor.
