This event is a re-run of the one originally planned for May which was cancelled by flooding. Access to the forest has been denied since then because of rain damage to the roads, We have just been given permission to conduct the event provided that all cars are parked outside the forest. This will mean a slightly longer walk to the start as well as from the remote finish. Car pooling is advised if at all possible.
Pay entry fees on the day.
Directions: From Warwick, take the New England Highway south from Warwick approx. 47km to the Thulimbah turn-off. Turn right here at the Big Apple and cross the railway line and then take Amiens Road west for approx 6.7km before turning left into Andreatta Road and follow for approx 1km past an apple orchard and follow signs to the assembly area. Allow 50 mins from Warwick and 3 hours from Brisbane.
From Stanthorpe, travel north on the New England Highway to Thulimbah. Turn left, cross over the railway line and then take Amiens Road and follow directions as above. Allow 20 mins from Stanthorpe.
