This event will be held on the eastern part of the Wilmots Waterholes map. Because of the boggy nature of the paddocks, we will park at the end of Barnes Road, Applethorpe and have a short walk to the start.

Directions:
From Warwick, follow the New England Highway south for 55km to Applethorpe. 600 m past the Applethorpe School, turn left into Border Road, cross over the railway line and immediately turn left. Follow for 150m and then turn right into Border Road near the sawmill. Follow for 2.1km before turning left into Barnes Road and following a further 1.5km to the end. Park as directed. Allow 50mins from Warwick.

From Stanthorpe, take High Street past the Showgrounds to the intersection with the New England Highway. Turn right towards Warwick and follow for 600m to the Caltex Service Station/McDonalds on the left. Continue for a further 1.4km and turn right into Border Road and follow directions as above. Allow 10mins from Stanthorpe.

At present, road access to the event site via Border Road is open but there is a concrete causeway crossing with some water over it which is currently trafficable. Should the Granite Belt experience heavy rain over the next two days, an alternative, higher level route will be available. Take the Amosfield Road east from Stanthorpe for about 7 km. Just before crossing the NSW border, turn left into Border Road and follow this around the eastern end of the Stanthorpe aerodrome and you will ultimately come to a T junction. Turn right here into Barnes Road and follow this through to the end and park as directed. Border Road via this option is gravel with lots of potholes so travel with care.

On the day, call 0477 059 063 after 7am for updates on the road conditions if you have any concerns.

The date coincides with Stanthorpe's famous Apple and Grape festival so you might like to enjoy the weeknd's festivities. Visit www.appleandgrape.org for details.
