Costs for accommodation, transport and food will be charged by state coordinators. OA recommend individuals seek financial support from their club or state organisation to attend the Australian Junior Development Camp.

Who for? Juniors from 13-20 years of age - activities of moderate and hard navigation will be on offer.
Senior athletes, orienteering coaches or coaches to be and parent/guardians are welcome to attend the camp, participating in the activities and/or assisting with activities/coaching

Where? Based in Stanthorpe, trainings will be on the fantastic granite belt maps. The camp will help individuals learn and develop their orienteering skills for the 2021 Aus Champs, 2022 Easter and even 2022 JWOC in Portugal!

When? The camp will be held form Thursday 8th of July to Sunday 11th of July, with an optional extra training Wednesday afternoon in Brisbane. The draft program is:
Wednesday: arrival + optional extra sprint training/race in Brisbane
Thursday: arrival + sprint training Collingwood Park State School + Scots PCG Warwick
Friday: Stanthorpe, 2 x forest trainings
Saturday: Stanthorpe, 2 x forest trainings
Sunday: Camp champs in Stanthorpe + travel back to Brisbane/GC

The camp will be organised by joint national coordinators Brodie Nankervis (OA manager of coaching development) and Felicity Crosato (OQLD).

Each state will have a state coordinator appointed who will organise accommodation, transport and food for their group. Several small states may wish to combine under one coordinator.

Travel to/from the camp is possible from Brisbane airport (2 hour 45 min from Stanthorpe) and Gold Coast airport (3 hours 20 minutes). The organisers suggest that flights are coordinated with your state coordinator (if not travelling with parent/guardian).

Organisers foresee that accommodation will be across 2-3 sites that have already been reserved by OA/OQLD. State coordinators or parent guardians to contact Brodie Nankervis on below details if interested in joining this accommodation. Individuals or state coordinators can also book their own accommodation.
