Come and try orienteering - something for Everyone! This is a bush event. Starts from 9-10.30, courses close 12 midday. Kid-O (for 0-10 year olds, and the young at heart) will run from 9-11.30pm. Coaching will be available for newcomers. Just bring suitable clothes and footwear for the bush, a hat and a waterbottle. If you have a coaching booklet or Kid-O booklet, don't forget to bring it along! Orienteering develops problem solving, persistence and resilience all in a fun family activity!
Bush orienteering is very different from urban events. It is recommended to master the basic skills on easier courses before moving up. All beginners under 14 are recommended to do Very Easy if they have no prior experience. Older juniors should do the Easy first if they have no prior experience.
