Santa 6 Days 2024 - Event 5 - Kenmore South

Orienteering Queensland is excited to bring you the 5th Santa 6 Days Event! Held over the Christmas to New Year period, a series of free MapRun events.

Dec 26 - Gardens Point
Dec 27 - Yeronga (Newly Updated Map)
Dec 28 - Mercer and Kalinga Park (Newly Updated and Combined Map)
Dec 29 - Whites Hill (Note special instructions)
Dec 30 - Kenmore South (Newly Updated Map)
Dec 31 - Grange Forest Park (First MapRun Event on this map)

Each event in the series will comprise a Long and Short line course and a Score event of 40 minutes. There will be a 60 minute Score course at every event except Gardens Point. There will also be a Start Anywhere version of the 60 minute Score course.
In a Line course you must get the controls in the order on the map.
With a Score event you can get any controls in any order. The goal is to get as high a score as possible in the time limit. If you are not back in 40 (or 60) minutes you will lose 30 points for every minute (or part thereof) you are late back.
The Start anywhere feature lets you use any control as your Start & Finish control. The orginal Start and Finish becomes a new control number, being the highest control number on the course plus one.

Each event will be unlocked at midnight and the maps will be available to download from the Eventor page for the event the day before. All events are free. The courses can be at run anytime after they have been unlocked.
