The Sunshine Orienteers Club will be your hosts for Round 2 of the 2012 Rider of the Year series in the Beerburrum State Forest - approx 1 hour north of Brisbane.
The Beerburrum State Forest has an intricate network of tracks, trails and dirt roads making it an ideal location for mountain bike orienteering events.
There will be 5 courses available to suit all levels of fitness and abilities as well as 3 Social classes. Control points will be placed on obvious features such as track junctions and creek crossings. Course lengths approximate only at this stage.
A suitable mountain bike, helmet and water are the basic requirements for this event.
Rotatable map boards will be available for hire on the day at a cost of 10.00 each - please email Dawn on katti5@bigpond.net.au to reserve one.
Experienced personal will be on hand to assist with any novice / newcomers. We will also have visual aids (bikes, map boards, maps, compasses) on display.
This "Legacy" event does not appear on Eventor.
