We have permission to run OY2 at Balara Homestead - Camel Farm.
Brisbane Valley Highway, Lake Wivenhoe
Directions: Travel north from Fernvale along the Brisbane Valley Highway. Cross the Wivenhoe Dam and continue for 11.8km. The turnoff to the homestead is 2.7 km after the intersection with Coominya Connection Rd. Look for orienteering signs. PLEASE CLOSE THE GATE!
We have not run at "Camel Farm" since 2019, when we enjoyed the runnable, gently sloping land, intricate erosion gullies, and views of camels and horses in the distance.
Make a weekend of it and camp nearby at Logen's Inlet, cool off in the lake on the way home, or enjoy one of the famous pies for lunch at the Fernvale Bakery.

Starts 9:00 to 10:00am, course close midday. There will be a training session for ASOC team members following their runs.
✅FACILITIES: ***There will be water on the course, but not at assembly area. Please bring plenty of drinking water for before/after your race (forecast min 11° max 30°).
***There will be a pit toilet, but please use the public toilets on the way to the event if possible (Fernvale, Cormorant Bay, Esk, etc.).
