Score Orienteering at Griffith University, Gold Coast

Sunday 11th starting between 9am and 11am at Griffith University Gold Coast, entering via the traffic lights into Engineering Drive near the eastern end of Parklands Drive. If rain threatens, the event will be postponed to the 18th.

Andy is setting the courses:

Score: The main attraction will be a Score event where you have 45 minutes to collect as many controls as possible. This will be a pure MapRun event with no flags hung out; you will need MapRun installed on your phone to get a result. We will give you a conventional paper map showing all controls.

Easy: We will also offer an Easy(ish) conventional line course for novices and youngsters which will have flags hung out (but no clippers) and use MapRun for results. It will avoid roads with vehicle traffic, however it will be necessary to cross a lightly trafficked road to get to and from the Start/Finish.

Note we generally do not accept payment in cash, you will need to wave a credit card or your phone.
