Queenslanders shine in Melbourne Sprint Weekend

Eighteen of Queensland's elite orienteers travelled to Melbourne for the Melbourne Sprint Weekend. The MSW comprised a series of six exciting sprint orienteering races over the three days. The races were on predominantly campus terrain, but there was one bush event. The four Saturday and Sunday races doubled as Round 1 of Orienteering Australia's National Orienteering League (NOL) and was also the Australian selection trials for the World Orienteering Champs (WOC), Junior World Orienteering Champs (JWOC) and World University Orienteering Champs. There was an exciting knock-out sprint competition for elite classes on Day 3.
